This is an original antique engagement ring that was made in the Art Deco period of c1925 – c1935. It is made from Platinum. The ring is centrally prong-set with 1 Old mine cut diamond of I color, SI1 clarity that weighs 1.84 carats. This diamond is very clear with gorgeous sparkle! It has one small carbon inclusion above the culet, but you must study the diamond to find it. This center diamond comes with an EGL cerificate and an appraisal dated 12/5/2014 that states estimated replacement value of $20,970. The diamond alone measures 7.63 x 7.06 x 5.08 mm.
The ring’s mounting is detailed with 4 synthetic blue sapphires that weigh approx. .14 ctw. It is also set with 16 diamonds of H-I-J color, SI to I clarity that weigh approx. .39 ctw. Two of these diamonds are Rose cuts and 13 are Old mine single cuts and it has 1 brilliant cut that is a replacement. These diamonds are in the .005 – .05 ct range. The head of the ring measures 11.38 mm north to south, 19 mm shoulder to shoulder and it sits 7.7 mm high off the finger. The total weight is 3.5 grams. There is an engraved detail on sides of shoulders and shank.

The color is in the faint yellow color range and I can not find a single inclusions when using my 10x jeweler’s loupe. It has a tiny tiny nick on the table facet that can not be seen with the naked eye. This diamond measures 7.6 mm with the bezel setting and it is 3.45 mm deep.
The center diamond is framed with 22 natural blue sapphires that weigh approx. .50 ctw. These sapphires are near square shaped and channel set with a darker blue color. The ring is detailed with 36 rose cut diamonds that weigh approx. .38 ctw. These diamonds are white and clear and they have a spread of .01 ct to .04 ct.

This diamonds has one pinpoint inclusions in the center, but you have to know it is there to find it. Otherwise, this diamond is completely clear and would have a VVS grade. I can not grasp it to get a precise measurement, but it is very close to 6.45 mm in diameter by 4 mm deep.

The ring is detailed with 34 natural blue sapphires that weigh approx. 2.0 ctw. These sapphires are fancy shaped French cuts that are channel set and of the finest quality. The marquise shaped head of the ring measure 1” north to south by 7/16” at the widest point. The total weight is 5.8 grams and the ring size is a 7. The lower gallery is finely detailed.
This is a gorgeous antique 3.0 ct sapphire and diamond ring. The platinum piece features a large, 3ct oval sapphire displaying vivid blue tone and amazing saturation. This stone has excellent tranparency and flashes of vibrant cornflower blue when moved. The alluring stone has a halo of round diamonds surrounding it. The diamonds are colorless(D/E range) and of VS clarity. The band is modest, not to dertract from the beauty of the gemstones. It features decorative shoulders and a solid high polish shank.
