Old European Cut Diamond Engagement Ring with Sapphire Accents Platinum 1.13 Ct G/SI1
This exquisite Art Deco reproduction ring is centered with one (1), bezel set, . The center stone is bordered with forty (40), bead set, old European cut diamonds and twenty-four (24), channel set, calibre’ cut natural sapphires. The shoulders of the ring are each accented with four (4), bead set, old European cut diamonds and four (4), channel set, tapered baguette cut natural sapphires. The gemstones are bordered with milgrain edging. The ring measures 13.2mm at the top, rises 9.5mm above the finger, tapering to 1.8mm wide and 1.3mm thick at the base of the shank.

Antique Deco .75ctw Diamond 4 Carat Blue Sappphire Platinum Cocktail Ring Circa 1930
This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE COCKTAIL RING that was made in the ART DECO STYLE during the 1930s. It is handmade from PLATINUM (top) and 18K GOLD (back & shank). The ring is centrally bezel-set with 1 SYNTHETIC BLUE SAPPHIRE that weighs approx. 4.15 ct. This sapphire is an ANTIQUE RECTANGULAR CUT of fine color & quality that measures approx. 10.5 x 8.75 x 5.06 mm. Large synthetic colored stones were typically used during this period for the cocktail rings like this and I have several other shapes and sizes available.
The sapphire is framed with a mix of 20 ROSE CUT DIAMONDS of J color, SI to I clarity that weigh approx. .22 ctw. and they each have a .02 – .03 ct spread. There are an additional 6 OLD MINE CUT DIAMONDS (north & south tips) of H to K color, SI to I clarity that weigh approx. .53 ctw. The largest diamond is approx. .12 ct. and the total diamond weight is approx. .75 ctw. One of the diamonds has a very small chip/nick at at the bezel, but you need magnification to see it. The ring measures just over 1” long on the finger by 1/2” at the widest point.

1935 Art Deco Sapphire Diamond Platinum Ring
Art Deco sapphire and diamond cocktail ring. Set horizontally with a round old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back claw setting with a weight of 2.00 carats, and two round old cut natural unenhanced sapphires in similar settings with a combined weight of 2.00 carats, bordered by forty eight tapered French cut natural unenhanced sapphires in open back rubover channel settings with a combined weight of 4.00 carats and additionally set with twenty eight round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.50 carats. The total approximate sapphire weight is 8.00 carats, to a geometric undulating cluster with Greek Key adornment, millegrain highlights and intricate pierced backholing, the integrated petal shaped shoulders with engraved decoration flow through to a solid D-shape shank. The diamond measures 6.75 mm with the bezel setting and it is 4.53 mm deep. The ring is additionally set with 52 single cut diamonds of H-I-J color, SI clarity that weigh approx. .40 ctw. These diamonds range in size from .005 -to .03 ct. The ring is detailed with 38 natural blue sapphires that weigh approx. 1.20 ctw. These sapphires are cabochon cuts in various fancy shapes and of the finest quality. The head of the ring measures 9/16” square and it sits almost 3/8” high. The ring is set with 1 round old mine cut diamond (center) of L color, VVS1 clarity that weighs approx. 1.25 ct. The color is in the faint yellow color range and I can not find a single inclusions when using my 10x jeweler’s loupe. It has a tiny tiny nick on the table facet that can not be seen with the naked eye. This diamond measures 7.6 mm with the bezel setting and it is 3.45 mm deep.
The center diamond is framed with 22 natural blue sapphires that weigh approx. .50 ctw. These sapphires are near square shaped and channel set with a darker blue color. The ring is detailed with 36 rose cut diamonds that weigh approx. .38 ctw. These diamonds are white and clear and they have a spread of .01 ct to .04 ct.

It has the Mker’s mark ‘LIF’ and a worn ‘PARIS’ stamp. The ring is centrally set with 1 Old European Cut Diamond of G color, SI1 clarity that weighs approx. 1.0 carat. This diamonds has one pinpoint inclusions in the center, but you have to know it is there to find it. Otherwise, this diamond is completely clear and would have a VVS grade. I can not grasp it to get a precise measurement, but it is very close to 6.45 mm in diameter by 4 mm deep.
The ring is also set with 46 roundish old mine cut diamonds of F-G-H color, SI to I clarity that weigh approx. 1.26 ctw. The total diamond weight is approx. 2.26 ctw. The ring is detailed with 40 natural blue sapphires that weigh approx. 1.30 ctw. These sapphires are French cut and channel set of the finest quality.

In my opinion, this is the ideal I2 clarity stone. The frame and shoulders of the ring are set with 41 brilliant cut diamonds of G – H color, SI clarity that weigh approx. .82 ctw. The total diamonds weight is approx. 1.97 ctw.

The ring is also set with 12 roundish old mine cut diamonds of H color, SI clarity that weigh approx. .38 ctw. The total diamond weight is approx. 1.01 ctw. The ring is detailed with 34 natural blue sapphires that weigh approx. 2.0 ctw. These sapphires are fancy shaped French cuts that are channel set and of the finest quality. The marquise shaped head of the ring measure 1” north to south by 7/16” at the widest point. The total weight is 5.8 grams and the ring size is a 7. The lower gallery is finely detailed.

This gorgeous antique originates from the 1920’s. At the focal point are a trilogy of rose cut diamonds. Totaling an impressive 1ct these are G color SI diamonds. Spread around these are a further six petite rose cut diamonds totaling 0.15ct. Intricately positioned between these are various french cut sapphires that total 0.35ct. Together these gemstones make the most wonderful design.
The shank is solid 18ct white gold and the ring is in very good condition commensurate to it age. A stunning rare antique ring just waiting to be shown off.
