Natural Untreated Blue Sapphire, 3.05ct.

Do you have a four-prong setting that you?d like to fill with a blue sapphire? Here?s the perfect choice: a 3.05-carat natural blue sapphire from Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon) in the Asscher cut, first made popular in the early 1900s. Similar to the emerald cut, the Asscher cut has cropped corners, but because the Asscher cut is square, the cropped corners give it a somewhat octagonal shape that suits well the four-prong mount. The color of this blue sapphire is natural, unenhanced with heat treatment, as certified by the Gemological Institute of America, and is well-saturated throughout the stone for an ?intense? color-intensity rating. It also exhibits VVS2 clarity for insignificant inclusions.
